The KWF International Headquarters had organised a 2015 KWF World Conference cum 7th KWF World Karate Championships in Chitose city in Hokkaido region of Japan from the 25th Sept to the 27th Sept 2015.

The Indian team comprising of 11 athletes had participated in the above event wherein India under the astute leadership of Shihan Sachin Chavan won the Silver medal in Under 17 years age category for Individual Boys Kata and all athletes performed with exemplary standards. Some even qualified till the semi final round in the WORLD CUP amidst 27 participating countries.

The Team India participants are as follows:

Shihan Sachin Chavan - Selected as a Referee from India for officiating in the 7th KWF World Championships and also participated in Men's open Individual kata event (qualified up-till semi finals)
Sensei Siddharth Desai - Semi finalist in Men's Individual Kumite event
Aditya Bhosale - Won a silver for India in the boys Under 17 years Individual kata event and qualified as a runner up for Boys under 17 years Individual Kumite event.
Vandan Bakshi - Semi finalist in Boys under 12 years Individual Kata and Kumite event

The KWF International Headquarters had organized an International Technical Seminar/ Master Camp cum 6th KWF World Karate Championships from the 18th to the 20th Oct 2013 at Ringsted Sports Centre, Ringsted City, Denmark, Europe.

The Indian team performed well at the International event.

The participants were as follows:

1 Shihan Sachin Chavan – Referee on behalf of INDIA
2 Sensei Rajesh Patil – Mens Open Individual Kata and Kumite event
3 Aditya Bhosale – Boys Individual Kata and Kumite for Under 17 years
4 Nimish Sabnis – Boys Individual Kata and Kumite for Under 11 years

In August 2012, Shihan Sachin Chavan along with his student Siddharth Desai had been to Japan, to train under the great legends of karate and appear for Dan grading and technical examinations.

In the 12 days visit both of them had been extensively trained in the art of Budo karate personally by Shihan Mikio Yahara – the Chief Instructor & Supreme Technical Director of KWF, Shihan Akihito Isaka – Deputy Chief Instructor of KWF, Shihan Sakae Ibusuki – Senior Instructor of KWF, Sensei Shinichi Okada and Sensei Masamichi Otsuka – Head quarter instructors of KWF.

In April 2012, Shihan Sachin Chavan was selected to represent India in the Asian Karate Federation Referee and Judge examinations conducted at Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia wherein he successfully qualified as a Kumite Judge – "B"; he is the 1st karate instructor from the state of Maharashtra to pass the 7.1 version of WKF Kumite rules examinations in Malaysia.

In addition to the above KWF India has gained a good reputation in the country as a legitimate karate organisation promoting value based, modern scientific training in the art and sport of Karate - Do.
