KARATENOMICHI WORLD FEDERATION INDIAâ„¢

Karatenomichi World Federation India (KWF India) is a direct affiliate of the elite traditional budo karate organisation in the world, the "KWF" headed by Grand master Mikio Yahara - a legend in the art of Shotokan karate who has set a new benchmark of Budo ("Bu"meaning Martial and "Do" meaning way) through his extremely refined, powerful and scientifically proven karate techniques and training methodology.

KWF India is an approved member of the Karate Association of India, KAI is recognized by the World Karate Federation (WKF) & the Asian Karate Federation (AKF). The WKF is the sole karate organisation to be recognized by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) for Sports Karate promotion.

The National headquarter of KWF India is based in Mumbai, functioning under the astute leadership of its Leader, Chief Instructor & Technical Director Shihan Sachin Chavan, a member of the elite International Masters Committee - "Shihankai".

In addition to the above he holds a 6th Degree Black Belt from KWF Japan and a 5th Dan Black Belt in the World Karate Federation (WKF) recognized by the International Olympic Committee (IOC). He is an Asian Karate Federation qualified Judge.

Shihan Sachin Chavan is a man with diverse knowledge and expertise in the art & science of Shotokan Karate.

In his 33 years of karate training he has trained under the legends of karate, like Shihan Mikio Yahara, Shihan Akihito Isaka, Shihan Sakae Ibusuki, Shihan Masahiko Tanaka, Shihan Toru Arakawa, Shihan Imura Takenori, Shihan Tomio Imamura, Shihan Katsutoshi Shiina, Shihan Soichi Sasaki, Shihan Malcolm Dorfman, Shihan Seiji Nishimura, Sensei Yoshtaka, Sensei Nishitoba, Sensei Shinichi Okada, Sensei Kawasaki Norio and many more respected personalities in the art of karate.

To impart coaching of International standards in Traditional & Sports Karate and develop a team of athletes capable of winning laurels for India.

Mission:

1.To promote and preserve the Budo Values, Traditions and Ethos of the Martial Art of karate.

2. To promote Karate learning as a Way of Life focusing on Self Development aspect.

3. To instill principles of Karate-Do in personal and professional lifestyles.

4. To develop professionals in the art & martial science of Karate at the National & International level.

Goals:

1.To conduct indoor and outdoor training in Life skills for students and encourage participation of female family members for learning basic art of self defense.

2. To prepare students for National and International competition.

3. To promote physical, emotional and cognitive growth in students resulting into development of a well balanced human being.
