A young engineer in Industrial Electronics, decided not to be a part of the rat race and choose to follow his heart instead. He had a passion for the sacred martial art of karate and an innate desire to teach and promote his art.

Commencing karate training as a student at the age of 10, he has now been an ambassador of his Martial art since the last thirty five years and dedicated his time and energy tirelessly, in mentoring and training young boys and girls and gifting the country good, strong, responsible citizens or you could call them civil soldiers trained by Shihan Sachin Chavan. Teaching Karate and Mentoring the younger generation with Values for Life is his strong domain.

Rising from scratch, today Shri. Sachin Chavan has won numerous accolades, of which some prominent ones are as follows:

7th Dan Black Belt in World Karate Federation, an International Karate Body for Sports Karate promotion
6th Dan Black Belt in Karatenomichi World Federation, an International Karate Body for Budo Karate promotion
5th Dan Black Belt from All India Karate-Do Federation
4th Dan Black Belt from Japan Karate Association 
Level “A” certified International Instructor, Referee and Examiner from KWF International Headquarters, Japan
Level “B” certified Kumite Judge from Asian Karate Federation

In what we could call the second innings of his karate journey, Shihan Sachin Chavan is working towards promoting karate in the corporate lifestyle so that they could avail the benefits of this traditional art form.

To make it more appealing to the masses he has come up with this refreshing concept of KARAYOBICS (www.karayobics.com) a unique fusion that brings in frenzy of Aerobics, calmness of Yoga and instills samurai spirit of Karate for self defense , guidance in nutrition and healthy diet are integral to Karayobics wellness regime.

His creation KARAYOBICS is appreciated by the Ministry of AYUSH under the leadership of Union Minister of state for AYUSH and the minister of state for Defence, honorable Shri Shripad Naik ji in 2019. The Ministry of Ayurveda, Yoga & Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha, Sowa Rigpa and Homeopathy, abbreviated as AYUSH, is a governmental body in India purposed with developing, education and research in the field of alternative medicine. Honors:

Represented India in the 6th KWF World Karate Championships held in Ringsted, Denmark in 2013 as a Chief Coach for training team India and also officiated as a Judge in the Karate World Cup.

Represented India in the 7th KWF World Karate Championships in Chitose, Japan in 2015 as a Chief Coach and Judge on behalf of India. Participated in Men’s Individual Kata – qualified in first 16 across the World.

Represented India in the 8th KWF World Karate Championships in Malta, Europe in 2017 as a Chief Coach and Judge on behalf of India. Participated in Men’s Individual Kata – came in first 4 across the World in the Veteran category B (42 to 54 Yrs).

Represented India in the 9th KWF World Karate Championships in Tokyo, Japan in 2019 as a Chief Coach and Mentor for a team of 21 athletes, participated in Men’s Individual Kata – qualified till semi finals in the the Veteran category B (40 to 49 Yrs, revised). Selected as a referee by Grandmaster Mikio Yahara for officiating in the 9th KWF World Cup 2019.

Member of the International Masters Technical Committee referred as “Shihankai” in Japan. He is the First Indian” to qualify in the International panel. The International Masters Technical Committee is the forum for discussion of the KWF technical standards. In addition to technical standards, the committee’s remit covers instruction, planning and competition rules.
